Cape Town 7s: Fiji to meet Spain in cup quarters

THE Fiji Airways Fiji 7s team will play Spain in the Cup-quarter-finals of the Cape Town 7s tonight.

This after Fiji finished top of its group winning all three matches.

Fiji made a blistering start thumping France 50-nil in their tournament opener.

The Gareth Baber coached side then accounted for Kenya 38-7.

It was a tough encounter against England in the last pool match where Fiji came out victorious 21-19.

It was sweet revenge for the Fijians who lost to England in the quarter-finals of the Paris 7s last year which cost them the World Series title.

Fiji will play Spain in the second cup quarter-final at 11.26pm today.

The first quarter-final between South Africa and Scotland at 11.04pm.

Australia takes on New Zealand at 11.58pm while USA battles England at 12.10am tomorrow.

The Cup semis begin at 3.34am while the Cup final will be played at 6.44am tomorrow.
