The Digicel Bula Boys need a draw against New Caledonia today to secure a semi-final spot in the FIFA World Cup 26 Oceania Qualifiers.

The two sides meet in the crucial Group A clash in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea today.

The team has already expanded their prospects for World Cup qualification through a 1-0 win against the Solomon Islands last month at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva along with a defiant three-all draw against Papua New Guinea on their home turf on Thursday.

The Rob Sherman coached side’s hopes of qualifying is strong but the side will need to avoid defeat to confirm qualification to the next round.

The match kicks off at 3pm.

The top two teams from the group will qualify for the semi-finals in New Zealand in March next year.

The winner of the competition gets a direct tickets to the FIFA World Cup next year while the runner-up goes through to the next stage of the qualifiers.
