ONE of the main goals for the Dash for Diabetes organised by the Petero Civoniceva Foundation is to encourage the younger generations to live a healthy lifestyle.

This was highlighted by co-founder of the foundation Lauren Jagger while speaking on the initiative.

Ms Jagger said in all the programs organized by the foundation their key messages were delivered through physical activity.

“Such as our Look, Think, Act road safety program and our Get Healthy with Petero healthy lifestyle program,” she said.

She said this year’s Santa Dash for Diabetes and the foundation were requesting all participants to come in their best fancy dress and help spread the Christmas spirit.

“All of the $2 entry fees go towards purchasing insulin needles as well,” she said.

“This year we are also introducing our $5 Santa Raffl whereby we have amazing prizes donated by some great organizations such as a 2018 Tonga Rugby League Jersey, a day trip to South Sea Island.”

The Santa Dash for Diabetes will be taking place on December 15 at the Burkhurst Park in Suva.
