Benjamin goes into the tournament on a high having won four titles already.

He won the first two editions of the Fiji National Championship series, a tournament in Nadi and also the Consumers Supermarket Easter Open Championship in Lautoka defeating Storm Conish in the final.

Charles Cornish, Zachary Sands and Krishan Raju are the other seeded players in the men’s draw.

Tarani Kamoe, Mulan Kamoe and Ruby Coffin are the favourites for the women’s open singles title.

Tennis Fiji president Rajiv Singh said more than 90 players had registered for the tournament.

Singh says events will also be played in the junior and veterans categories.

“We are grateful to Tattslotto for their continued support,” he said.

“The finals of the singles categories will be played on Sunday.

“We are looking forward to a great tournament after last year’s event was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
