The FIJI Water Flying Fijians backline utility, Semi Radradra says there is tough competition for the starting 15 positions amongst the players in the extended squad for the Pacific Nations Cup opener against Tonga in Lautoka next week.

“It feels good to be in the side and no one is guaranteed a spot and it is up to the coaches,” the Lyon centre said.

“We are training hard everyday and are ready to face our Pacific brothers next Saturday,” he said.

The former Bristol Bears star said the side was looking forward to face their ‘Pacific brothers’ next week.

“I know it will be tough especially playing our brothers, the Tongans and Samoans.”

Flying Fijians lock Isoa Nasilasila, who started in most games for the Drua this season, said they were hoping for a good match against the Ikale Tahi.

The Flying Fijians take on Tonga at 3pm next Saturday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

They then face Samoa on July 29 at Apia Park before taking on Japan at Prince Chichibu Memorial Stadium in Tokyo on August 5 for their final match of the Punjas Pacific Battle.
