THE Hoops for Health Basketball clinic organized by Basketball Fiji drew in many children from around the Suva area in its attempt to raise awareness against non-communicable diseases.

The clinic is being held at the Damodar City car park and will end on Thursday.

Program organizer Kenneth Taliu said  the program was aimed at encouraging kids on the importance of staying healthy.

“We started this clinic a year ago and saw that we had a positive response from the public, so we are sharing with the kids a message of staying active and trying to combat Non communicable diseases through that way and also keeping them healthy,” said Taliu.

Children between the ages of nine and 16 are part of the four day event.
