Ba town underwater as flood alert remains in force

Parts of Ba town were closed off to traffic this morning after floodwaters entered the main business district.

The Ba bus stand, municipal market and the entrance into the civic centre were all underwater from as early as 5am.

According to the Fiji Meteorological Services, a flood alert remains in force for low lying areas between Ba and Rakiraki.
