TWO men charged with sexual-related offences will take their plea on April 29.
Agape Healing Church Ministry’s Pastor Waisake Tulavu and senior church member Sakiusa Nakutoro appeared before judge Justice Daniel Goundar today.
Mr Tulavu is charged with four counts of rape and one of sexual assault, while Mr Nakutoro is charged with one count of rape.
It is alleged Mr Tulavu had committed the offences on a 22-year-old woman and a 32-year-old woman between May 11, 2018, and September 12, 2018.
He is also charged with Mr Nakutoro for the alleged rape of another woman aged 29 years.
The court heard the State had served disclosures but were yet to file information and it sought time from the court to do so.
The prosecution informed the court that it had only met with one of the complainants in the case and was in the process of meeting the other two complainants.
The court also heard that the State was yet to confirm their position in regards to Mr Nakutoro, who had opted to become a State witness in an earlier sitting.
Justice Goundar informed the State that he was adjourning the case for the final time and he would dismiss the case if prosecution did not file information within the next 21 days.
Mr Tulavu has been remanded while Mr Nakutoro is on bail.
The case has been adjourned to April 29 for a plea.
