LAWYER for local boxer, Sebastian Singh made an application at the Suva Magistrates Court today for the boxer to travel overseas for a boxing event.
The case for Mr Singh who is alleged to have assaulted his wife in December last year was called before Magistrate Liyanage Wickramasekara.
Defence lawyer Siddharth Nandan filed a motion to vary Mr Singh’s bail conditions as the court was informed that Singh was due to take part in a boxing program overseas which had been sanctioned by the World Boxing Council.
Mr Nandan said Mr Singh wanted to travel on March 14.
Mr Singh had his bail extended.
The case has been adjourned to March 2.
