Apartment project sparks protest

The Ministry of Lands has assisted the Suva City Council with geo-tech works at Tamavua, where construction of apartment blocks is planned.

Residents in the area have protested the development, which they say was done without proper consultation and environment assessments.

Yesterday, Minister for Lands Filimoni Vosarogo told this newspaper that his ministry was involved with the geo-tech process and the report had already been forwarded to the Suva City Council.
