Alleged meth tampering case moved to January 2025

THREE police officers and two civilians accused of tampering with methamphetamine kept as evidence at Suva’s Totogo Police Station will reappear next year.

The police officers-Roy Seinibici, Inoke Tikomaimalevani and Samisoni Ralulu- and the civilians- Anare Buresolei and Anare Buresolei Vulaki- are charged with the offence of interfering with evidence.

It is alleged that between February 9 and 10 this year, as joint principals, or secondary offenders, they either aided or abetted in tampering with the seized drugs during an operation by the Southern Division Police Operation team.

The matter was scheduled to commence this morning before Suva Senior Magistrate Sufia Hamza, however, all matters listed today has been adjourned.

The charges laid are sanctioned by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The five men will re-appear on January 14, 2025.
