VILORINA Naibena of Kakala House turned heads at the ANZ Stadium in Suva yesterday when she beat Coca-Cola Games gold medallist Ana Kaitoga in the inter-girls 400 metre final.

The Namosi lass said she was happy with the win and was aiming for three gold medals at the Coca-Cola Games.

“I am so proud of myself for winning the race. I have been training hard for the past few weeks for this,” Kaitoga said.

“I am aiming to get three gold medals at the Coke Games in the 400m, 800m and 4x400m relay events,” said Naibena.

Naibena said she would need to work harder after a good run yesterday.

“I have a few weeks of preparation and in that time I hope to better my time so I can achieve my three gold medals aim,” she said.

The 16-year-old dedicated her win to her family who she misses dearly.

“I am boarding in school so I don’t get to see my family every day and I miss them all so much.

“This win is dedicated to everyone back at home,” said Naibena.
