The Rewa Football team is poised to get some major financial compensation after winning the recent Inter-District Championship title after a fifteen-year drought.

Their hefty bonus is also compensation for winning the Extra Primer League title and the National League trophy.

This was confirmed yesterday by the Rewa FC president Nazeel Buksh at the team’s victory parade in Nausori town yesterday.

“So, they are getting both the National League prize money and Extra Primer League prize money, and the FMF IDC prize money. It’s all going to the players, management, the coaching staff, everyone will get a reward from it,” Buksh confirmed.

In addition to their monetary compensation, the team were also gifted with hamper packs provided by die-hard business supporters of the club who have backed the team consistently throughout the years.

Buksh said the celebration was also a gesture to honour the players’ achievements and their dedication to brining victory to Rewa FC.

“That’s why we having this celebration to give back to the players who have sacrificed so much worked so hard to bring this victory to Nausori and to Rewa. They deserve every penny and will be compensated accordingly.”

Buksh said yesterday’s celebration was a gift to the people of Nausori who have consistently supported the team despite the fifteen-year IDC drought.

“We wanted to give something back to the town of Nausori, to the people of Rewa, Tailevu and Naitasiri who calls Nausori home. After so long we able to bring something back to these people and we thought of why not celebrating it in style in a big way. So, everyone can feel the sweet victory that this team has brought.”
