PUBLICLY-LISTED Sun Insurance Company Ltd this week announced the promotion of two of its senior management staff into new leadership positions.
Manager sales and customer service, Avikash Ram was appointed as the new principal officer of Sun Insurance while chief product development officer, Thomas Naua has been promoted to deputy principal officer.
Mr Ram, who has dedicated 15 years to Sun Insurance during which he has held various key roles, will oversee the company’s operations and strategic initiatives.
“His deep understanding of the company’s operations, combined with his leadership skills, positions him well to steer the organisation forward,” the company stated.
Mr Naua, a seasoned industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience, will support the company’s leadership.
“His expertise in product innovation and market expansion will be instrumental in driving Sun Insurance’s future growth.”
Sun also acknowledged the departure of incumbent principal officer Tarlochan Singh, who has decided to leave the company to pursue personal business ventures.
“We sincerely appreciate Tarlochan Singh’s 14 years of dedicated service and his positive influence on our company’s development,” said company chairman Padam Lala.
“We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
“To support the new leadership team, three experienced directors, along with our recently appointed chief transformation officer, Nouzab Fareed, will continue to play a vital role.
“Their collective guidance and strategic insights will be critical in ensuring a smooth leadership transition and in shaping the company’s future direction.”
Sun Insurance announced its change in leadership at the South Pacific Stock Exchange, where it is listed.
