More than 80 children under the care of WOWS Kids Fiji received $10,000 worth of hand sanitisers, hospital rated disinfectants, and liquid soaps from Fiji Chemicals.

Fiji Chemicals made the donation for the wellbeing and overall hygiene of the children who suffer from cancer and were susceptible to other diseases as well.

WOWS Kids Fiji co-founder Taholo Kami said one of the biggest challenges for children with cancer was that “some lived in fairly crowded conditions and we know what these conditions are like”.

“The biggest challenge is hygiene and keeping these kids, whose systems are not fully operational, working properly and keeping them clean,” he said.

Apart from the donation, Fiji Chemicals also committed 30 cents from the sale of each of their products to six of their charities, one of which was WOWS Kids Fiji.
