CLose to 3000 tickets have been sold or allocated in the first two days of public sales for the epic Round 15 Super Rugby Pacific clash in Lautoka between the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua and the Chiefs.
Fijian Drua CEO Brian Thorburn said they were delighted with the response from the fans in the West so far.
“With a capacity of only 11,000, this leaves only around 8000-odd tickets left for sale,” Thorburn said.
“All $145 tickets for the match have been sold or allocated already.
“I’m very proud to share that our champion Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua team will also be around at the match.
“We’ll introduce them at Churchill Park and fans will also have the chance to meet the team, get autographs and photos.
“This is just one of several celebrations we are sure will be planned for the Fijiana Drua following their amazing Super W victory.
“We know it will be a short break for them before they regroup to prepare for an even bigger challenge ahead – the World Cup in New Zealand.”
The first act of matchday will be the Vodafone Vanua match between Lautoka and Yasawa, which will serve as the curtain raiser for the Super Rugby Pacific match.
