Extra Supermarket Labasa FC is the first team to qualify for the Super Premier final tomorrow after they beat Mahijibhai Builders/Calgary Nadi FC by 4-1 in the first semi-final a while ago.
The Babasiga Lions put on a show for their fans with skills and pace to burn as they overshadowed the Jetsetters in almost all aspects of play.
Molea Tigi gave Labasa a one-nil lead going into the break, while a second-half brace from Christopher Wasasala sealed the match for the Babasiga Lions.
Nadi’s consolation goal came from Tuiba Batiratu whose long range strike went beyond the reach of Labasa goalie Simione Tamanisau.
An own goal by Nadi in injury time, ended the match in a 4-1 scoreline in favour of Labasa.
Labasa will now await the results from the second semi-final between Stratum Construction/Zeg Investment Navua FC and Extra Supermarket Rewa FC.
Labasa coach Ravneel Pratap said the boys had the faith to play and win today.
“Hats off to Nadi as I think they are a tough team.”
Nadi coach Raj Dayal said the loss was very disappointing.
“The ground was a factor, the ball was bumping.
“Labasa was a better and they came away with the win.”
