8 November, 2018, 5:22 pm
BEING a stroke patient for the past 10 years did not deter Mereoni Marama from leaving the comfort of her home to go and cast her vote for the 2018 General Election.
The 77-year-old widow was among more than 200 people who were expected to cast their vote at the pre-polling venue at Waibasaga Village in the interior of Naitasiri today.
Ms Marama said she hoped that her vote in this election would enable her party of choice to form the next government and assist women like her.
Pre-polling at Waibasaga Village concluded at 5pm.
