2018 General Election: Ra villagers make their votes count

A TOTAL of 161 villagers in Nayaulevu, Tokaimalo, Ra, cast their votes early this morning.

Village headman Sakiusa Nagalu said many of the villagers had been up as early as 5am to prepare to vote.

“A lot of us were looking forward to this day,’ he said.

“We have Nayaulevu villagers and those from two settlements that will be voting.”

Among the voters was 79-year-old Jone Codro who took part in his third general election today.

He said he hoped that his vote would count in choosing the right person in Government.
