THE FIJI Secondary Schools Netball Competition is underway with 20 schools participating in the annual event at the National Netball Centre in Laucala Bay, Suva.

The Fiji Secondary Schools Netball Association has introduced a new format in this year’s secondary schools netball competition whereby teams would go into straight quarterfinals after qualifying from the zone meets.

Vice president development Josua Qalo said the association was undergoing the new structure to make a more smooth running competition.

“Introducing this new structure this year is a change for us because we want to make the competition a bit different for the participating schools, most teams are trying to adapt to this change but the response has been good so far as we go into the first day of competition,” said Qalo.
