A MAN was arrested yesterday afternoon at Komave settlement for his alleged involvement in a robbery at a restaurant located at the Damodar City Complex in Laucala Bay.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said more than $800 in cash believed to have been stolen from the restaurant was found in his a possession.
“The robbery allegedly occurred sometimes between midnight to yesterday morning,” Ms Naisoro said.
She said a report was lodged with Raiwaqa Police when cash worth up to $14,000 was discovered missing from the company safe.
“A joint investigation taskforce team comprising of officers from the Southern Division and CID Raiwaqa managed to identify the suspect from CCTV footage.”
The suspect who is in his 50s is in police custody and investigations continue.
